When a teacher becomes aware that they will be working with a student who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), it can be very helpful to begin by asking parents/carers to work through an individual profile of the student with you as part of the transition process. It may sometimes be appropriate to work with the student on completing a profile. Click here for an excellent template for a student profile.
