Strategies to Support StudentsLessons and assessment should be modified to support the learning of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who experience weak central coherence and reduced executive function. The following are some strategies for supporting students. Choosing which strategies are appropriate to use with an individual student is a teacher's professional decision. Some of these strategies may be too advanced for some students – it may be more appropriate for the teacher to take responsibility for structuring and organising tasks for the student.
